Leicester City vs Coventry City (Saturday 3rd March 2012)

Today was the Leicester City vs Coventry City match!
I'd been waiting ALL week for this and it was well worth every single minute.
It's a local Midlands derby, so it was really good fun as always.
Loads of chants, loads of banter etc.

I went with my friend Paul, which was different because I usually go with Sam, my Brother Mark or Family.

So having someone new to go with was really cool. Plus, we had a great laugh.

Leicester were given a penalty in the first half, Neil Danns stepped up to take it, and I said it was a bad decision. I'd rather have had Nugent, but Danns took it anyway, the goalie saved it and play continued.

Then not long later, Nugent scored :)

At half time Birchy brought out Bruno Berner, he's been with Leicester City for quite a long time now and he's not long announced his retirement. So he's not going to be with us anymore :(

So the crowd gave him a massive standing ovation and all chanted his name!

Then Bruno and the Birch went over to East Stand and presented a young soldier who's going to be going back to Afghanistan soon, a massive signed LCFC flag.
It was a lovely moment.

In the second half, Beckford scored for us to make it 2-0.

Coventry were given a penalty because Big Wes Morgan body bashed a Coventry fan in the penalty box.
Kasper saved the penalty, like a beast :)

Then Konchesky got a straight red a bit later on because he wiped out a Coventry player.
It was rash and silly though.

Overall, bloody loved it.

10/10 for atmosphere, company and enjoyment.
