But once Bayern scored, it really shook Chelsea up, and they scored a late goal via Didier Drogba, to put them into extra time.
Extra time came and went with no goals.
So, it was left down to penalties.
Mata was the only Chelsea player to miss a penalty.
Bayern missed two penalties, thanks to Chelsea's goalkeeper, Petr Cech, which lead Chelsea to their FIRST ever Champions League win.
